Tartans Return to NCAA Championships as Mideast Region Top Team

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – By winning the 2019 NCAA Mideast Regional Championship this past Saturday for the second consecutive season, the Carnegie Mellon University men's cross country team automatically qualified for the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Cross Country Championships which will be hosted by Spalding University at the Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 23. It marks the Tartans sixth straight team appearance at the championships and 13th in the last 14 years.

Carnegie Mellon won the regional meet by placing all seven runners in the top 20, as they all garnered Mideast All-Region honors. The Tartans, who won the program's fourth regional championship since 2008, will enter the meet ranked fourth nationally.

The men's race will begin at 10:45 a.m. ET, followed by the women's race at 11:45 a.m. ET.
