Softball To Host Prospect Camp in September

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Carnegie Mellon University head softball coach Monica Harrison will be hosting a prospect camp on Sunday, September 30. This is the second prospect camp under first-year head coach Monica Harrison, who was hired in June 2017 as the first softball coach in department history. The Tartans are set to begin varsity competition in spring 2019.

The prospect camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 30 on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University.

The one-day camp is intended for student-athletes interested in attending and playing softball for Carnegie Mellon to learn more about the opportunity and overall experience of a Division III student-athlete. The camp will cover all parts of the game, from everyday drills to position specific workouts. Coach Harrison will also provide an introduction into the fundamentals of the offensive game which focuses on hitting, bunting, and slapping.

Attendees will participate in collegiate level drills designed to simulate the environment that players experience throughout a collegiate season while having the opportunity to gain feedback and be evaluated by the staff.

Coach Harrison will also lead a campus tour during the day.

Register for the camp. There are limited spaces available and registration must be in by September 15.
