Two Earn NFCA All-America Scholar Honors

(LOUISVILLE, Ky.) – Two Carnegie Mellon University softball athletes were honored for their 2018-19 academic success by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). Senior Rae Lasko (Diamond Bar, Calif. / Diamond Bar) and freshman Kyra Musmanno (West Windsor, N.J. / West Windsor-Plainsboro) were named NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for finishing the year with a 3.5 GPA or better.

Lasko, a cognitive science and human-computer interaction major, finished the year with a 3.76 GPA and graduated with a 3.92 GPA in May. Musmanno is enrolled in the Dietrich College and completed her first year on campus with a 3.69 overall GPA.

The team of 17 earned a 3.29 GPA while achieving a 13-25 record in the inaugural season.
