McGee Named UAA PItcher of the Week for Second Straight Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Junior pitcher Scotty McGee (Huntington Beach, Calif. / Huntington Beach) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second straight week to earn the fourth award of her career.

McGee had another great outing for the Carnegie Mellon University softball team with her second straight 7-inning shutout when she led the Tartans to a 7-0 win against Mount Aloysius on Tuesday, March 30. McGee's outing included a career-best 15 strikeouts while allowing one hit.

After Monday's victory at Penn State Behrend where McGee struck out anothe eight batters without allowing an earned run, the junior is 3-0 for the season, has a 1.60 ERA, and leads the UAA with 11.64 strikeouts per 7 innings.
