(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Freshman Kira Monji was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Softball Hitter of the Week following an eight-game stretch this past week as the Tartans went 5-3. The honor is the first for a Tartan this season.

Monji, who played six games at second base, one in right field, and one as the designated player, collected a team-high 17 hits with a .567 batting average. She led the team with 11 RBIs, 12 runs scored, and five extra-base hits, including a streak of four games. Monji also walked three times and stole three bases.
