Murphy Tabbed as UAA Athlete of the Week, Named to D3hoops.com Team of the Week

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) – Junior Lisa Murphy (McLean, Va./McLean) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team earned her second University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week honor on the season and was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week.

Murphy led the Tartans to two wins at Allegheny's tournament by averaging 30.5 points and 11.5 rebounds a game. In a 92-63 win against Muskingum, Murphy was perfect from the floor (11-for-11) with 27 points and six rebounds in 23 minutes played. On Saturday, she torched Allegheny for 34 points on 12-for-18 shooting while grabbing 17 boards.

Murphy currently leads the nation in points per game with 31.3 and will return to the court Tuesday, November 24 when the Tartans host Waynesburg University at 6:00 p.m.
