(WASHINGTON, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's basketball team fell to Otterbein University in the opening game of the Washington & Jefferson College Springhill Suites Tournament on Friday, November 15. The Tartans are now 0-2 after falling 70-41.
Senior Katie Higgins (Montclair, N.J. / Montclair) led the Tartans with 10 points and six rebounds while sophomore Leah Weslock (Howell, Mich. / Howell) collected a team-best seven rebounds.
Otterbein took care of the basketball with only eight turnovers for the game. The Cardinals also shot 46.7% from the floor while the Tartans shot 34.0% with no baskets from behind the arc.
The Tartans will next face host Washington and Jefferson on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.
