Women’s Golf Wins Saint Vincent Invitational with Season-Low Round

(LATROBE, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team carded a season-low team round of 326 on Tuesday, April 14 to win the Saint Vincent Invitational held at the par-70 Glengarry Golf Links.  The win marked the Tartans second straight team victory and fifth this season.

Freshmen Robin Tan (Austin, Texas/Westlake) and Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) tied for first, each carding rounds of 77, but Tan won the scorecard playoff to claim individual medalist honors. Freshman Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) carded a career-best round of 79, as she tied for third-place individually.

First-year Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) turned in a career-best round of 93 while classmate Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) finished the day with a 101.

Two Tartans played as individuals with junior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore.) carding a 107 and freshman Diana Zhou (Diamond Bar, Calif.) scoring a 113.

The Tartans will conclude their inaugural collegiate season when they hit the links on Monday, April 20.  The Cardinal and Gray will compete at the Grove City Spring Invitational held at the Grove City Country Club.
