Hoskins Wins Grove City Spring Invitational; Team Ends First Season with Sixth Tournament Victory

(NEW CASTLE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team concluded its first season competing as an NCAA member on Monday, April 20 at the Grove City Spring Invitational.  The Tartans claimed their sixth team victory of the season after carding a 344 on the Grove City Country Club par-72 course.  

Freshman Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill.) won the event tying her season-best round of 79 for her first collegiate individual medalist honor.   Classmates Robin Tan (Austin, Texas/Westlake) and Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) each carded rounds of 85 with Tan claiming the second spot on the tiebreaker.

Freshman Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) shot a 95 while fellow freshman Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa.) ended the day with a 107.
