Tartans Win Second Straight Spring Tournament

(LATROBE, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team won its second straight spring tournament, topping the field of four teams with a round of 333 on Thursday, April 21 at the Saint Vincent Invitational held at the par-70 Glengarry Golf Links. The win also marked the Tartans' third victory in as many tries on the course.

Sophomore Summer Kitahara (Greenwich, Conn./Rye Country Day) had her best round on the course, carding a 76 to win the event and earn her fourth medalist honor of the season. Senior Yoon Hee Ha (Tigard, Ore./Tigard) placed third with a career-best round of 81 for her second top-10 finish of the year.

Following Ha was freshman Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret's Episcopal School) with a score of 87 to place fifth while sophomore Isabelle Tseng (Plainsboro, N.J./West Windsor-Plainsboro South) was seventh with a round of 89.

Sophomore Emma Hoskins (Libertyville, Ill./Libertyville) carded a 91 to finish eighth overall while sophomore Ginger Glass (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg) played as an individual and turned in a scorecard of 107.

The Tartans will conclude the season on Saturday, April 23 at the Westminster College Spring Invitational held at the New Castle Country Club in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
