Davis Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Lavonca Davis (Pickerington, Ohio) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Golfer of the Week. Davis receives the honor following her play at the Grove City College Invitational where she led the Tartans 'B' Team to a second-place finish.

Davis carded a season-best round of 79 on the par 72 Grove City Country Club course. Davis' round earned top individual medalist honors marking the second of her career. The sophomore's 79 was her third lowest for her career in 33 rounds played.
