Women's Golf Finishes Tied for Fourth at 2022 NCAA Championship

(HOUSTON, Texas) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship on Friday tied for fourth after a 72-hole score of 1,206. The four-day championship was played on the par-72, 5,866-yard Bay Oaks Country Club in Houston, Texas.

Emory University won the national championship with a four-round score of 1,175. Ellen Dong of Emory was crowned the individual medalist after carding a 289 and winning the first playoff hole over Alison Takamiya of George Fox University.

Junior Alexis Sudjianto (Charlotte, N.C./Charlotte Latin School) carded a two-over par 74 during the final round and placed tied for seventh individually in a field of 151 golfers with a 54-hole score of 293 (72-74-73-74). Sudjianto's 293 tops her previous school record for the best four-round score of 305 she recorded at the 2021 national event.

Freshman Sriya Mupparaju (San Diego, Calif./Del Norte) ended with a 303 (80-75-74-74) after carding her second straight round of two-over par 74 on Friday. Sophomore Denise Pan (Houston, Texas/St. John's School) fired her best round of the championship in during the final round of one-over par 73 to finish with a 305 (76-81-75-73.)

Senior Nadia Susanto (Irvine, Calif./Arnold O. Beckman) and freshman Kaylin Yeoh (Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) recorded their best round as well of the four days. Susanto shot a three-over par 75 to end with a 308 (77-78-78-75) and Yeoh shot a four-over par 76 for a 314 (78-80-80-76).

Mupparaju's 303 is the second best four-round score in program history, Pan's 305 is tied for third best and Susanto's 308 ranks fifth.
