Tartans Open Play at Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate
(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team competed in the first round of the 36-hole Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday. The Tartans carded a team score of 301 and are currently tied for fifth.

How it Happened:
- Sophomore Sense Sangkagoon led the Tartans with a career-best round of two-under par 70 after recording birdies on holes 17 and 18. Sangkagoon is tied for the individual lead in a field of 78 golfers.
- An eagle on hole 18 for sophomore Kaylin Yeoh ended her day with a three-over par 75.
- Sophomore Sriya Mupparaju fired a 77 with senior Alexis Sudjianto entering the clubhouse with a 79.
- Junior Denise Pan finished play on Sunday with an 85.
- The Tartans had one individual compete at the event, as sophomore Reeya Vasishta carded an 80.
