Tartans Place Fifth at Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate

(MONTGOMERY, Ala.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's golf team finished play at the 36-hole Montgomery Country Club Women's Intercollegiate on Monday. The Tartans fired a team score of 297 for the second round to finish fifth with a 36-hole score of 598 (301-297).

How it Happened:

• Sophomore Sense Sangkagoon shot a two-over par 74 for round two and ended the event shooting an even par 144 (70-74). Sangkagoon tied for fourth individually in a field of 78 golfers.
• After firing a two-over par 74 Monday, sophomore Kaylin Yeoh placed 14th with a 149 (75-74).
• Sophomore Sriya Mupparaju completed play with a 76 Monday and shot a 153 (77-76) over the two days.
• Senior Alexis Sudjianto turned in a round of 77 on the final day and shot a 156 (79-77).
• Junior Denise Pan improved 12 strokes on Monday from her opening round and carded a 158 (85-73) for the 36-hole event.
• The Tartans had one individual compete at the event, as sophomore Reeya Vasishta carded a 153 (80-73) after tying her collegiate low round on Monday with a one-over par 73.

'B' Team Competes at Allegheny Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational:

• The Tartans 'B' Team competed in a 10-team field of Sunday and Monday at the Allegheny Guy & Jeanne Kuhn Invitational in Meadville, Pennsylvania. The two-day, 36-hole event was played at the par 71 Country Club of Meadville with the Cardinal and Gray winning the event with a 618 (312-306).
• The Cardinal and Gray were led by junior Steffi Chern. Chern claimed individual medalist honors carding a five-over par 147 (74-73).
