(GAMBIER, Ohio) - Junior Jordyn Greenberg's (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain) goal in the 66th minute gave the Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Kenyon College on the road Saturday, September 14. The Tartans improve to 3-1-1 on the season while Kenyon falls to 1-4.

Senior Anna Albi (Cincinnati, Ohio/Summit Country Day) played the first 45 minutes in net recording two saves as freshman Katie Liston (Lakewood, Ohio/Montessori HS at University Circle) replaced her at the half and earned the win, the first of her career.

Both of Albi's saves came in the first half at the 14:13 mark and the 25:28 mark.

Following Albi's saves, the Tartans got rolling and pressed forward with three shots of their own before the period ended.

Junior Savina Reid (Briarcliff Manor, N.Y./Briarcliff) had two shots saved by Kenyon's Lauren Wolfe in a two-minute span before the Tartans earned a corner kick in the early seconds of the 66th minute.

Senior Rachel Contopoulos (Oakland, Calif./Berkeley) sent the corner kick into the box where Greenberg was there for the shot and goal.

An attempt by Kenyon's Becca Romaine in the 89th minute was wide of the net as the Tartans went on for the victory.

Carnegie Mellon will return home for two games next week as it hosts the College of Wooster on Wednesday, September 18 at 7:00 p.m. for Youth Night and La Roche College on Friday, September 20 at 7:00 p.m.
