Prior to the score, Adams had two other shots that were saved by Wolverine keeper, Nicole Lapia.

The Tartans first threatening shot of the game came in the 12th minute when freshman Kaily Bruch (Glenview, Ill./Glenbrook South) fired a shot from 25 yards out on the left side that Lapia tipped up and saw hit off the crossbar.

In the second half, sophomore Tori Iatarola (West Dundee, Ill./Loyola Academy) had the only shot on goal which was saved by Lapia in the 59th minute.

Senior Carson Quiros (Atlanta, Ga./Whitefield Academy) had a few headers go high of the goal as she threatened to score on multiple corner kicks by the Tartans.
