(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - With her third overtime goal of the season, junior Haili Adams (Kirkland, Wash./Juanita) lifted the 18th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team to a 1-0 victory against sixth-ranked University of Chicago on Sunday, October 30. The goal for the Tartans came with 5:16 to play in the first overtime when junior Grant Wilmer (Atlanta, Ga./Holy Innocents' Episcopal School) received a pass moving to her right. She edged around the defender and put a shot low that Maroon keeper Kate Donovan dove to stop by didn't corral. Adams was there to finish to the open net and give the Tartans the win.

The Maroons put three shots on goal but all were touched away or grabbed by senior Katie Liston (Lakewood, Ohio/Montessori HS at University Circle) who was playing in her second game this season due to an off-season injury.

The Tartans will close the regular season at home against Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, November 5 at 1:00 p.m.
