(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team traveled to the University of Rochester for a Sunday afternoon University Athletic Association (UAA) contest. The Yellowjackets protected their home field, winning 2-0.
The Tartans (7-8-1, 0-6) had four shots during the game with all four of them on goal. Senior Kaily Bruch (Glenview, Ill. / Glenbrook South) led the team with three shots fied on net.
The goals for Rochester came in the 10th and 27th minutes. Carolyn Richards scored the first on a breakaway goal while Kerri Eden put in the second with a header 10-yards out that went over junior goalie Andrea Sipos (Bel Air, Md. / Bel Air) for the Tartans.
The Tartans will conclude the regular season on Saturday, November 3 when Case Western Reserve University visits Pittsburgh at 3:30 p.m.
