#24 Tartans Sink #17 Rochester in OT, 1-0

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - Junior Taylor Cammarata's (Cary, N.C. / Green Hope) goal in overtime lifted the 24th-ranked Carnegie Mellon University women's soccer team past 17th-ranked University of Rochester on Friday, October 18 in Pittsburgh. The Tartans improve to 9-2-1 for the year and 3-0 in the University Athletic Association, while the Yellowjackets drop to 8-3-1 and 0-2-1.

Cammarata's left-footed shot from just outside the penalty arc curved past the keeper and just inside the right post for the game-winner seven minutes and 25 seconds into overtime. Cammarata started the play with a pass to the right sideline for freshman Ashley Hong (Ashburn, Va. / Broad Run). Hong then found freshman Alex Adams (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) at the corner of the 18-yard box. Adams, whose back was to the goal, found Cammarata charging forward in the center. Cammarata then took one touch to her left before unleashing the shot and a Tartan celebration.

The game was scoreless after 90 minutes because of seven saves by Emma Schechter for the Yellowjackets. She laid out for three saves, two off shots by freshman Helena Spencer (Warrenton, Va. / Patriot) and one off the foot of senior Tara Durstewitz (Old Bridge, N.J. / Old Bridge).

Senior Andrea Sipos (Bel Air, Md. / Bel Air) made one save for the Tartans and recorded her second solo shutout and seventh victory.
