Career Best Times

2012-13

Megan provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships in the 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard butterfly and 800-yard freestyle relay. She was also part of the 800-yard freestyle relay which finished third at the UAA Championships. Garvey recorded three career-best times, all coming at the UAA Championships, in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.43), 500-yard freestyle (5:02.87) and 200-yard butterfly (2:05.84). Additionally, she finished the year third on the team in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 59.61 which she achieved at the Total Performance Invitational at Kenyon.

2011-12

Megan’s best swim of the season came in the 100-yard butterfly when she touched the wall in 57.88 at the UAA Championships, finishing second on the team. She led the team in the 200-yard butterfly, recording a season-best time of 2:06.57 at the Total Performance Invitational. In the freestyle, Garvey finished the year with best times of 55.91 in the 100-yard freestyle and 1:58.35 in the 200-yard freestyle.

2010-11

Megan began her career earning All-American Honorable Mention recognition at the NCAA Championships, swimming the second leg of the 800-yard freestyle relay when the team finished in 7:38.28. The relay team also placed second at the UAA Championships. Additionally, Garvey competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay at the NCAA Championships. In individual events, Garvey finished second on the team in both the 100-yard butterfly (58.75) and 200-yard butterfly (2:08.76) and recorded season-best times of 55.34 in the 100-yard freestyle and 2:00.93 in the 200-yard freestyle.
