400-yard Medley Relay Earns Honorable Mention All-America Honors

(SHENANDOAH, Texas) - The 400-yard medley relay team earned Honorable Mention All-America status for the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team on the second day of the 2015 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet is being held at Conroe ISD Natatorium in Shenandoah, Texas.

The group of junior Kira Singhaus (Cherry Hill, N.J./Cherry Hill West), freshman Kimberly Hochstedler (Mishawaka, Ind./Penn), sophomore Gillian Crews (Fairfax, Va./Oakton) and sophomore Allison Kirkby (West Chester, Pa./Conestoga) finished 13th overall with a time of 3:51.86 to earn Honorable Mention All-America in the event for the second straight year.

Crews also swam on Thursday in the 100-yard butterfly, just missing the opportunity to swim in the evening as she touched 18th in 56.57.

On Friday, Crews will swim the 200-yard butterfly while Hochstedler will swim her first individual event of the meet when she competes in the 100-yard breaststroke.
