Women’s Swimming Honored for Academics by CSCAA

The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as two individuals were also named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans.
Four Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Honors

Four Carnegie Mellon University athletes were honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as Google Cloud At-Large Academic All-District selections. Senior women’s golfer Carly Jordan (San Juan Capistrano, Calif./St. Margaret’s Episcopal School) and junior swimmer Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C./RJ Reynolds) were selected to the women’s team while senior diver Gabe Bamforth (Cambridge, Mass./CRLS) and sophomore swimmer Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) were selected to the men’s team.
Chau Closes NCAA Championships with Ninth-Place Finish

Sophomore Jessica Chau (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) closed the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with a ninth-place finish for the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team. With her finish combined with the three top 16 finishes by junior Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C. / RJ Reynolds), the Tartans finished 30th with 20 points.
Nicklas-Morris Earns Third Top 16 Finish of NCAA Championships

Junior Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C./RJ Reynolds) finished her time at the 2019 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships with another top 16 finish for the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team. The championships conclude on Saturday with sophomore Jessica Chau (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) swimming her strongest event, the 200-yard backstroke.

Four days into the winter training trip for the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming team the Tartans competed at the Florida International University Sprint Invite against a mix of teams from Division I, II, and III. The Tartans finished fourth out of 12 teams with 167.5 points.
