Nicklas-Morris Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving junior Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C./RJ Reynolds) was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Swimming Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Florida International University Spring Invite on Saturday, January 5.

After three days of double training in Miami, Florida, for the Tartans training trip, Nicklas-Morris placed third and 10th in events at the Florida International University Sprint Invite that comprised teams from all three divisions. Nicklas-Morris was third in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.28 and 10th in the 100-yard IM in 1:03.02. The Tartans finished fourth out of 12 teams.

The Tartans return to campus for the start of classes on January 14 and will compete at Denison University on Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m.
