Tartans Record Two "B" Cut Times at Kenyon Fast Chance Meet

(GAMBIER, Ohio) – Members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team traveled to Kenyon College for the Kenyon Fast Chance Meet on Saturday afternoon.

As she did a year ago at this meet, sophomore Jessica Chau (Ridgewood, N.J. / Ridgewood) swam her best time of the season in the 200-yard backstroke, touching in a time of 2:02.38. Her time won the event and is a "B" cut. Also recording a provisional cut time was junior Taylor Brown (San Antonio, Texas / Johnson) in the 1,650-yard freestyle when she touched in a career-best time of 17:26.01.

Junior Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C. / RJ Reynolds) won the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:07.43. She also turned in a fourth-place performance in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Freshman Kierstyn Cassidy (Waynesville, Ohio / Waynesville) turned in a second-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle and a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with time of 5:08.02 and 1:56, 09 respectively.
