The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) with a Team Scholar All-America award as 13 individuals were also named CSCAA Scholar All-Americans.

Senior women's swimmer Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C./RJ Reynolds) and junior swimmer Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) were honored as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-Americans when the Association announced the At-Large selections on Wednesday, June 17. The award is the first for Nicklas-Morris who received third-team recognition while Britton earns his second award and first appearance on the first team.

Three Carnegie Mellon University athletes were honored by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as At-Large Academic All-District selections. Senior women's swimmer Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C./RJ Reynolds) was selected to the women's team while junior swimmer Justin Britton (Falls Church, Va./George Mason) and junior men’s tennis athlete Ray Boppana (Boxborough, Mass. / Acton Boxborough Regional) were selected to the men's team. The award is the second received by both Nicklas-Morris and Britton.

Carnegie Mellon University senior Emma Nicklas-Morris (Winston-Salem, N.C. / RJ Reynolds) has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for excelling academically and athletically while showing leadership and commitment to the community. Twenty-one males and 21 females across all three NCAA divisions were chosen as recipients for the winter sports. Nicklas-Morris was awarded the scholarship after four years of competition in the pool for the women’s swimming and diving program.

CSCAA Names All Division III Swimming and Diving Qualifiers All-Americans

The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has selected its All-America teams for the 2019-20 season and have awarded all Division III qualifiers the honor after the CSCAA Board adjusted the criteria due to the cancellation of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Eleven Tartan women receive the honor after earning the right to compete at the national meet.

Freshman Emilia Schwallie (Weston, Mass. / Weston) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s swimming and diving team has earned the right to compete at the 2020 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships after her performance at the NCAA Region 4 Diving Championships over the weekend. Schwallie will join nine women’s swimmers competing for national titles on March 18-21 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Nine Carnegie Mellon University women's swimmers have earned the right to compete at the 2020 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The nine women invited to the championships is the second most for the Tartan women under 13-year head coach Matthew Kinney. The championships will be hosted by the Old Dominion Athletic Conference and the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, on March 18-21.
