Schwallie Sets Pool Record at CMU Diving Invitational

(PITTSBURGH, Pa.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's diving team hosted their annual diving invitational on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23. Freshman Emilia Schwallie (Weston, Mass. / Weston) recorded a pool record on the 3-meter board to lead the Tartans.

Schwallie tallied the most points on the 3-meter board with 472.80 after 11 dives to set a new pool record on Saturday. On Friday, Schwallie finished third on the 1-meter with 441.10 points. With her scores she has earned entrance to the NCAA Regional Diving meet in March.

Junior Maddie Mianzo (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished second on both boards and also earned placement to the NCAA Regional Diving meet. She tallied 442.50 points on the 1-meter and 460.30 points on the 3-meter.

Junior Lillie Widmayer (Old Bridge N.J. / West Windsor Plainsboro) was sixth on the 1-meter with 377.45 points while freshman Madeleine Riordan (New York, N.Y. / Nightingale-Bamford School) was eighth with 352.55 points and senior Megan Roche (Potomac, Md. / Winston Churchill) was ninth with 350.30 points. On the 3-meter, Widmayer finished eighth with 398.80 points, Riordan 10th with 365.90 points, and Roche 13th with 328.70.
