Kuramoto Places Third on Both Boards at Fletch Diving Invite

(ATHENS, Ohio) – Four Carnegie Mellon University women's divers competed at the Fletch Diving Invite at Ohio University on Friday and Saturday, October 14 and 15 to open the 2022-23 season. The field was comprised of 29 total divers from Division III colleges, Kenyon (Ohio), Trinity University (Texas), and Hope (Michigan), Division I Ohio University, and Division II University of Findlay.

Inside The Results

  • Junior Kelli Kuramoto placed third on both the 1-meter board and 3-meter board to lead all Division III competitors.
  • Kuramoto started her third year with 237.30 points on the 3-meter board after six dives.
  • On Saturday, Kuramoto recorded 226.75 points on the 1-meter board.
  • Senior Emilia Schwallie tallied 214.50 points to place ninth on the 3-meter and 199.80 to place 12th on the 1-meter.
  • Sophomore Kyndall Tatum scored 190.20 points to finish 16th on the 3-meter and 180.85 on the 1-meter to place 19th.
  • Freshman Ella Snyder totaled 134.60 points on the 3-meter to place 28th and 157.05 on the 1-meter to place 25th.
