Schwallie Earns UAA Women's Diver of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Senior Emilia Schwallie was named the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Diver of the Week for her performance during the Carnegie Mellon University Senior Meet on Saturday, January 21. Schwallie's honor is the first of her career and the third for a Carnegie Mellon women's diver this year.

Schwallie recorded 500.00 points to win the 3-meter diving event and 495.40 points to place second on the 1-meter diving board on Saturday at home in an invitational against IUP and Chatham. Both marks are career-best scores after 11 dives and meet the NCAA Regional qualifying standard for the fourth and third times on each board.

Schwallie and the rest of the Carnegie Mellon divers will next hit the pool on Friday, January 27 and Saturday, January 28 at home for the Western Pennsylvania Invitational starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday and 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
