Xu Closes NCAA Meet with All-America Trophy
(GREENSBORO, N.C.) — The Carnegie Mellon University women's swimming and diving team finished competition at the 2024 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday, March 23 with an All-American performance by sophomore Savannah Xu and placed 22nd with 29 team points.
Top Performances
- Xu earned an All-America trophy by placing fourth in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:00.33. Her time of 1:59.27 in the prelims set a new school record.
- The Tartans swam the 400-yard freestyle relay to a 24th-place finish with sophomore Eliana Szabo, Xu, sophomore Sophie Elliott, and junior Abigael O'Donnell finishing the race in 3:31.76.

- Savannah Xu – 200-yard backstroke 4th place – All-America

- Savannah Xu – 100-yard backstroke 11th place, 800-yard freestyle relay 13th place
