Tsu and Torres Compete at NCAA Women’s Tennis Championships
(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University senior Brooke Tsu (Hillsborough, Calif./Burlingame) and junior Nicholle Torres (Weston, Fla./Great Neck South) both competed at the 2016 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championship hosted by Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Thursday, May 26.
Both athletes' season came to an end on Thursday with setbacks in the opening round. Tsu opened play against defending national champion, Eudice Chong of Wesleyan University, and dropped a 6-1, 6-3 match. Torres drew Caroline Casper of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and fell in a three-set match, 6-2, 3-6, 6-2.
Tsu finished the season with a 17-11 singles mark while Torres ended with a mark of 17-7.
