Taylor Honored by UAA

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University freshman Danna Taylor (Orlando, Fla. / Circle Christian School) was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week for her performance in helping the 11th-ranked Tartans to a 7-0 victory over Division II Slippery Rock University this past Friday.

Taylor started play Friday teaming with Melissa Strome at first doubles as the tandem won 8-4 over Viola Lugmayr and Lois Page. Taylor then won a straight set match, 6-2, 6-1, at first singles against Lacey Cohen.

The Tartans will next host Indiana University of Pennsylvania in an exhibition match on Saturday, February 9.
