The second doubles pairing of senior Alex Iordache (Princeton, N.J. / South Brunswick) and junior Ola Wojciak (Holmdel, N.J. / Holmdel) also were victorious with an 8-6 score.

"I was really grateful to have the upperclassmen that were there today to really help drive the match and guide the new players," said Iordache. "We all really fed off each other's energy which really makes a difference in these matches, especially in our first one back in such a long time. I am really grateful to be out there playing again before I graduate and to do it with a team who has the drive to go out there and win and support each other. I am also thankful to all the athletics staff that made this possible and I know the team really is excited to continue playing."

In singles action, freshman Abigail Khieu (Potomac, Md. / Walt Whitman) recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win at sixth singles ahead of Qiang's 6-1, 6-2 win at fifth singles. Both went down as their first career singles victories.
