Kiekhaefer Moves onto the Finals at NCAA Championships

(WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.) - Senior Erin Kiekhaefer (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team competed at the 2015 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Friday, March 13 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with Roanoke College serving as the official host.

Kiekhaefer advanced to the finals of the mile after crossing the finish line with a time of 5:03.96 in the prelims.  The senior posted the eighth best time and fifth in her heat.  The time also marked Kiekhaefer's second career-best in the event after setting the school record at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Championships crossing in 5:03.48.

Kiekhaefer is set to compete in the finals Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
