Cook Named ECAC South Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Sophomore Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) of the Carnegie Mellon University women's indoor track and field team was named the Corvias Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III South Athlete of the Week following her performance at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, January 30.
    
Cook won the 400-meter dash in 59.37 seconds, nearly topping the school record of 59.35, at the Battle for the Obelisk. Cook also ran the 200-meter dash and placed second in 27.58.

The team is back in action this weekend at Denison University for the Bob Shannon Invitational which starts at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6.
