Cook Garners UAA Athlete of the Week Award

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field senior Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa./Hampton) was selected as the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Track Athlete of the Week when the Association announced its weekly awards for competition ranging from February 12-18.

Cook competed at the Ohio State University Tune-Up on Friday night against Division I, II and III runners and placed fifth in the 800-meter run with a season-best time of 2:16.27. Her converted time of 2:14.72 currently ranks ninth in Division III, third in the UAA and tops in the Mideast Region. 

Cook and the rest of the Tartans will next compete at the UAA Indoor Track and Field Championships at Case Western Reserve University on Saturday, February 24 and Sunday, February 25.
