Karabin Named UAA Athlete of the Week

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) - Carnegie Mellon University sophomore Michelle Karabin (Ruffs Dale, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) earned University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Washington and Lee University Track and Field Carnival.

Karabin opened her outdoor season by winning the pole vault after clearing the bar at 3.65 meters. Her height was a career-best.

The Tartans will next compete at their annual home invitational on Saturday, March 24 with the hammer throw taking place on Friday begining at 3:30 p.m.
