Women's Track and Field Run at St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash Invitational

(LORETTO, Pa.) - Members of the Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field team took part in the St. Francis (Pa.) Red Flash Invitational on Saturday.

Junior Taylor Jacobs (Bozeman, Mont. / The Taft School) placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a personal-best time of 4:59.05. Senior Madeline Evans (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Hills), junior Mia Hartman (Apollo, Pa. / Kiski) and senior Brittney Sidwell (Aurora, Ill. / Metea Valley) also ran in the 1,500. Evans crossed in 5:10.08, Hartman in 5:26.28 and Sidwell in 5:39.10.

sophomores Mona Yuan (Sayreville, N.J. / Middlesex County Academy for Allied Health and Biomedical Sciences) and Kavya Tummalapalli (Plainsboro, N.J. / West Windsor-Plainsboro) competed in the 800-meter race and finished in 2:24.10 and 2:34.48, respectively.

Junior Kristen Seballos (Cleveland, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) took sixth in the 3,000-meter run in 10:35.35 while freshman Megan Baker (Exton, Pa. / B. Reed Henderson) placed ninth in 10:57.48.

Carnegie Mellon will compete at Penn State Behrend on Sunday, April 25.
