Shiang Runs in 10,000-Meter Race at NCAA Outdoor Championships

(GENEVA, Ohio) - Carnegie Mellon University women's track and field junior Orit Shiang competed at the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, on Thursday.

Shiang competed in the 10,000-meter run and crossed with a time of 36:21.28. Her time placed 17th.

Shiang is the third Tartan to qualify for NCAAs in the 10,000-meter run. Maureen McGranaghan ran in the event in 1998 and Carolyn Lowe competed in the 10,000 in 1991 and 1992, as she won the title in 1992 and placed third in 1991.
