Higgins Honored by ECAC

(DANBURY, Conn.) – Carnegie Mellon University volleyball senior Molly Higgins (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach) was honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as the Corvias South Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday, October 19. This marks her second honor by the ECAC for the season.

Higgins helped the Tartans to a 3-1 week at the University Athletic Association Round Robin #2 by recording 54 total digs. She accumulated 26 against No. 5 Emory and surpassed 2,000 for her career and is now third all-time in Carnegie Mellon history with 2,036.

The 21st-ranked Tartans will next play three matches at home beginning with an 8:00 p.m. match on Friday, October 21 against Messiah College.
