So-Holloway Earns Second UAA Weekly Honor

(ROCHESTER, N.Y.) – Junior setter Maia So-Holloway (Oakland, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral) of the Carnegie Mellon University volleyball team was named University Athletic Association (UAA) Athlete of the Week following her performance over the weekend. So-Holloway helped the Tartans to a 3-1 mark to improve the Cardinal and Gray's overall record to 19-8. This marks her second honor by the UAA this season.

So-Holloway totaled 173 assists, 11.53 assists per set and 49 digs while recording two double-doubles. She had a career-best 58 assists in the Tartans win over Alma while adding 18 digs. The junior setter finished the weekend with a 35-assist and 14-dig effort in a straight set win over North Park. She also totaled five service aces over the weekend.

The Tartans will be back in action on Friday, October 26 at home against Ithaca College at 7:00 p.m.
