Tartans Compete at Mideast Regional

(CENTER VALLEY, Pa.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished 10th at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 12, at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.  John Hopkins claimed the title with 38 points followed by Dickinson with 120 points and Elizabethtown with 126.

Junior Aparna Alavilli (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) led the Tartans with a 13th-place finish, as she crossed with a time of 22:01. Freshman Kate Reilly (Scranton, Pa./Scranton Prep) and graduate student Priya Patel (Piscataway, N.J./Piscataway) crossed second and third for the Tartans. Reilly turned in a time of 23:39 and Patel crossed in 23:56.

Freshman Rachel Reolfi (North Canton, Ohio/Canton Central Catholic) crossed with a time of 24:11 and was the fourth Cardinal and Gray runner to finish while graduate student Shaheen Essabhoy (Palo Alto, Calif./Palo Alto) ended with a time of 24:16.
