Sophomore Emmalyn Lindsey (Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) of the Carnegie Mellon University women’s cross country and track and field teams was named to the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Cross Country/Track & Field Third Team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Carnegie Mellon University senior Sarah Cook (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Hampton) and sophomore Emmalyn Lindsey (Eugene, Ore. / South Eugene) have been selected to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-District Team for women’s cross country and track and field. Cook earned her second career Academic All-District honor while Lindsey earned her first in her first year of eligibility.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished 24th in the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships hosted by Principia College in Elsah, Illinois, on Saturday, November 18. The Tartans were running in the championship race for the fourth time in program history and first time since 1998.

The Carnegie Mellon University women’s cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2017 NCAA Division III Women’s Cross Country Championships which will be held at the Principia College North Farm Cross Country Course in Elsah, Illinois on Saturday, November 18. The team appearance marks the fourth in program history and first since 1998 when the Tartans finished fourth at the national meet.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished fourth at the NCAA Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 11, hosted by Dickinson College in Newville, Pa., by scoring 168 points. The nation's top team in Johns Hopkins University claimed the title with 38 points followed by 18th-ranked Elizabethtown with 100 points and 25th-ranked Haverford with 150. The Tartans, who were ranked fifth in the region for most of the year, finished ahead of 23rd-ranked Dickinson who finished with 178 points.

Four Carnegie Mellon University athletes were honored by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) when the organization announced its weekly award winners this week. From women's cross country senior Aparna Alavilli (Hanover, N.H./Hanover) and freshman Parvathi Meyyappan (Cupertino, Calif./Monta Vista), from women's soccer freshman Carolyn Botz (St. Louis, Mo./Micds) and from volleyball sophomore Kayla Yew (San Francisco, Calif./Sacred Heart Cathedral).

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished fourth at the University Athletic Association (UAA) Women's Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 28 at Garret Mountain Reservation in Woodland Park, New Jersey. The Tartans accumulated 116 points at the 6k race hosted by New York University. The fourth-place showing for the Cardinal and Gray is the best finish at the championships since placing third in 2012.

The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team hosted the Carnegie Mellon Hampton Inn Pittsburgh - University/Medical Center Invitational on an unseasonably warm October morning. The Tartans finished fifth, and were the top Division III team, while Division I Duquesne University won the meet with the University of Pittsburgh placing second.
