Tartans Receive Third Straight At-Large Invite to NCAA Championship Race

(INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.) – The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team received an at-large invitation to the 2019 NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships marking the third straight season the Tartans will race as a team for the championship. This year's race will be hosted by Spalding University at the Tom Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Kentucky on Saturday, November 23. The team appearance marks the sixth in program history.

Carnegie Mellon received the invite after placing third at the Mideast Regional on Saturday, November 16. At the meet, senior Kate Reilly (Scranton, Pa. / Scranton Prep), senior Abigail Levine (Bethesda, Md. Bethesda Chevy Chase), sophomore Kristen Seballos (Cleveland, Ohio Padua Franciscan) and freshman Joyce Zhang (Ellicott City, Md. / Centennial High School) all finished in the top 35 and garnered all-region honors. Reilly led the Tartans with a 13th-place finish.

The women's race will begin at 11:45 a.m. ET, proceeding the men's race at 10:45 a.m. ET.
