Tartans Place 24th at NCAA Championships

(LOUISVILLE,  Ky.) - The Carnegie Mellon University women's cross country team finished 24th at the 2019 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships on Saturday, November 23.

Senior Abigail Levine (Bethesda, Md. / Bethesda Chevy Chase) led the Tartans with a 92nd-place finish in a time of 22:49.5 over the 6k course at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park in Louisville, Kentucky.

Sophomore Kristen Seballos (Cleveland, Ohio / Padua Franciscan) was next to finish the race for the Tartans in 137th place in a time of 23:06.4. Freshman Joyce Zhang (Ellicott City, Md. / Centennial High School) was third for the Tartans and 181st overall in a time of 23:24.9.

Senior Valerie Collins (Wellesley, Mass. / Wellesley) was just behind Zhang in 183rd place in 23:25.5 while graduate student Wade Lacey (Albany, N.Y. / The Albany Academies) was fifth for the Tartans in 23:34.5 to place 201st.

Senior Kate Reilly (Scranton, Pa. / Scranton Prep) closed her career with a 230th-place finish in 23:54.7 with sophomore Taylor Jacobs (Bozeman, Mont. / The Taft School) crossing 261st in 24:32.7.
