Evan Gelacek currently serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer to Firefly Value Partners, LP, a New York City based investment advisor to value-oriented long term private investment funds.

Prior to joining Firefly, Mr. Gelacek worked for Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC in Pittsburgh as an attorney focused on private fund, transactional and compliance matters as a member of the corporate finance and energy groups.

Mr. Gelacek graduated with college and university honors from Carnegie Mellon with a BS in history in 2005, and earned a JD from University of Pittsburgh in 2008, where he served as a research editor on the University of Pittsburgh Law Review.  Mr. Gelacek played basketball at Carnegie Mellon.
