Robert Simon is a Managing Director on the Prime Origination Sales desk at Barclays, based in New York. 

Robert has over 20 years experience in global equity and prime brokerage markets across trading, sales and financing. Prior to joining Barclays in September 2017, he spent 13 years at Citi Capital Markets in various equity and financing roles in New York and Hong Kong. He joined Citi in 2004 on the Program trading desk and went on to run the Program desk in Hong Kong before assuming roles as head of Citi ETF services platform as well as the regional head of their Delta One sales business. Previously, Robert worked at JP Morgan as Head of Program Trading – trading desk. He also held roles in Equities at Schwab Capital Markets in New York. 

Robert received his bachelor's in information systems and industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University and his MBA from Columbia University. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he currently resides in New York City with his wife and two children. Robert was a member of the men's soccer team at CMU for a season and enjoyed participating in intramurals. Now, Robert is an avid tennis player.
