Colin McNeil - Men's Basketball

Senior Colin McNeil of the Carnegie Mellon University men's basketball team led the Tartans to a 2-0 week while recording the first triple-double in school history, men or women. McNeil started the week with 10 assists, 10 points and a career-high 10 rebounds while tying a career-best with four steals in a 76-73 win over La Roche. The senior sealed the victory over the Redhawks with a pair of made foul shots with 39 seconds remaining in the game. His triple-double is also one of nine that have been recorded in Division III this season. McNeil then scored eight points, handed out five assists and grabbed five rebounds in the Tartans 69-66 win over Penn state Behrend Saturday afternoon. The win snapped a seven-game losing streak to the Lions. For the week, McNeil averaged 9.0 points, 7.5 assists, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. He has a combined 61 assists in seven games for an average of 8.7 assists per contest, which ranks tops in Division III and third in all of NCAA basketball.
