Bio

Dr. Kelley Anderson joined the Carnegie Mellon University sports performance team as a team physician in 2012. Dr. Anderson is an Assistant Professor at The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Department of Orthopaedics, Center for Sports Medicine. She is also involved with medication management at the University of Pittsburgh Sports Concussion Program.

Dr. Anderson grew up in Beaver, Pennsylvania, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Allegheny College and received her D.O. from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her Family Medicine Residency here in Pittsburgh at UPMC St. Margaret and then completed her training at The University of Pittsburgh with a fellowship in Sports Medicine under the direction of Dr. Jeanne Doperak.

During her fellowship, she covered football, men's soccer and wrestling at the University of Pittsburgh and also covered men's basketball at Carnegie Mellon University and Duquesne University. In addition, she was the team physician for South Park high school.
