Bio

Kristin Kropf is a Pittsburgh native and graduate of Oakland Catholic High School. She came to Carnegie Mellon in 2015 following a three-year stint as Head Cheerleading Coach and Spirit Squad Coordinator at Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina. Prior to Clemson, Kropf spent five years as the Head Cheerleading Coach at Robert Morris University.

Kropf has 18+ years of experience working as a choreographer, cheer camp instructor & cheer/dance judge. She has over 13 years of experience serving as a Head Cheerleading Coach and she is AACCA Safety Certified, NCSSE Master Level Safety Certified & a Nationally Certified Cheerleading and Dance Judge.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications with a concentration in sports management from Robert Morris University and a master’s degree in education/leadership from Robert Morris. She was a 4-year college cheerleader for the Colonials, and was captain her junior and senior year. Upon graduation she immediately started coaching at the collegiate level.

Kristin and her husband, Ed, reside in Shaler Township. They have two children, Peyton & Finn.  In addition to coaching part-time at CMU, Kristin works full time as an Instructional Designer at the University of Pittsburgh, and part time as a cheer/dance judge for several companies.
