Why did this internship interest you: I did the Investment Banking route last summer and wanted a more client-facing role. Also, I really liked Wells Fargo
as a company and its culture on a day to day basis.
How did you complete the internship - remotely or on-site: Remotely - I was supposed to complete my internship in Houston, Texas.
Description of internship: Touched a lot of business sectors within the CIB sector of Wells Fargo. Throughout the internship, we had an IB week, Credit week, Product week, and lastly a Sales and Trading week. Furthermore, we got to connect with all levels of current employees within both our location and other locations across the country. I worked approximately 10 hours a day - 6 days a week. It was a lot of individual work, however, we had a team project at the end of the internship that we worked on together and presented to upper management.
How it could have been different if not remote: I definitely would have preferred to be on-site instead of completing my internship online. I really like interacting face-to-face with people, so working remotely was a little bit of a change. I also wanted to live in Houston, Texas, for a couple of months so I could experience what life would be like down there after college.
How did this internship shape your next move: I had a great experience over the summer. I learned a ton and built an abundance of relationships with members on the Wells Fargo team. I received an offer for full-time employment and I have accepted this offer. I will be headed down to Houston, Texas, after graduation around mid-June of 2021.
